Hurley Gala Evening

The Hurley Gala Evening is a village fundraising evening created to bring the community together and raise meaningful support for local causes.

The first Hurley Gala Ball

The first Hurley Gala was held in the Tithe Barn at The Olde Bell and raised close to £12,000 for the Raise the Roof charity for the replacement of the roof of St Mary the Virgin Church in Hurley. That total reflects the generosity of guests, sponsors, donors, and everyone who helped make the event happen.

Supporting Raise the Roof

Raise the Roof exists to support vital work on the church roof, helping protect a landmark that sits at the heart of Hurley village life. Funds raised through the Gala contribute directly towards keeping the building safe, weatherproof, and cared for for future generations.

An annual tradition in the making

The organisers plan to make the Hurley Gala Ball an annual event, building on the success of the first year and creating a reliable fundraising moment on the village calendar. The aim is simple: keep the spirit of community at the centre, grow the impact each year, and give local people and local businesses a positive way to contribute.

Get involved
