About the
CAMEO
CAMEO
CAMEO is a friendly, informal monthly get-together for older people. It’s a simple idea that works because it meets a real need: a regular chance to get out, see familiar faces, and have a proper chat over a cup of tea.
What it is
CAMEO stands for Come And Meet Each Other. It’s an opportunity for older people to come together for tea and conversation in a relaxed setting. There’s no pressure, no agenda, and no expectation that you “have” to know anyone already. You can arrive on your own, settle in, and take the afternoon at your own pace.
When and where
CAMEO takes place in the Priory Room at 3:00pm, on the second Thursday of each month.
What you can expect
-
A warm welcome when you arrive
-
Tea and a chance to sit down and relax
-
Friendly conversation and a chance to meet other people locally
-
A regular monthly rhythm that makes it easy to build connections over time
If you’re someone who doesn’t always fancy busy events, CAMEO is a calmer, more comfortable way to stay connected.
Who it’s for
CAMEO is aimed at older people who would enjoy a bit of company and conversation. That might be because you live alone, you’re new to the area, you don’t drive as much as you used to, or you simply want something pleasant to look forward to each month.
