About the Horizon Development

The current application is 26/00931/FULL. It is a full planning application for the demolition of the existing Horizon House office building and redevelopment of the site to provide 77 new residential dwellings, with parking, landscaping and open space.

The Horizon Development Planning Helper

The Horizon Planning Helper is a tool built by the HVA and is intended to support the community by making it easier to find information within the Horizon planning documents. It is built using AI and will direct you to ChatGPT. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING OR HAVE AN EXISTING ACCOUNT. If you want to retain your answers to return to in the future, we would advise creating a free account.

It is not intended to sway users in one direction or another. It does not campaign for support or objection, and it does not replace your own judgement.

Its purpose is to help you understand the facts contained in the submitted documents, find the relevant source material, and make your own informed comments to RBWM if you wish to do so.

The Horizon planning application includes a large number of documents, plans, reports and supporting statements. Horizon Planning Helper has been created to help you find factual information more easily.

You can ask the assistant questions about the proposed Horizon development and it will search the planning documents, summarise the relevant information in plain English, and provide a link to the source document on the RBWM website where available.

The assistant is neutral. It does not support or object to the planning application. Its purpose is to help you understand what the submitted documents say, so you can form your own view.

What you can ask

You can ask questions such as:

  • What is being proposed?

  • What does the application say about traffic?

  • How many homes are proposed?

  • What does the application say about parking?

  • What does the application say about flooding?

  • Are there plans or drawings I can view?

  • What is the difference between the current application and the previous Class MA approvals?

  • Which document explains the landscape impact?

  • Where can I find the planning history?

The assistant will give you a concise answer and, wherever possible, provide the relevant document name and link.

Please allow time for answers

There is a large volume of information in the planning submission. Some answers may take a minute or so while the assistant searches the documents and checks the source material.

This is to help ensure the response is based on the submitted planning documents rather than guesswork.

Using the assistant to help with comments

If you have your own views and would like help turning them into clear planning comments, you can explicitly ask the assistant to help you draft your comments ready to copy and paste.

For example, you could ask:

“Please help me write my comments using my own concerns about traffic, parking and landscape impact.”

The assistant should not tell you whether to support or object. It can help you structure your own comments clearly and refer to relevant planning documents where appropriate.

This AI-driven helper is provided as a best endeavours tool to support access to information, but we cannot accept responsibility for errors or omissions. If concerned, please check the original planning documents on the RBWM website before relying on any information.

Tell the HVA what you think

Hurley Village Association would like to hear the village’s thoughts on the proposed changes to the Horizon development on Honey Lane.

The purpose of this is to gather local views, questions and concerns so they can potentially be reflected in the Association’s comments and questions submitted to the planning committee.

We would also like to take a simple temperature check to understand whether the village is broadly in favour of, against, or undecided about the revised proposal.

Please use the form below to submit your comments. Your feedback will help Hurley Village Association understand the range of views across the village and decide what comments or questions may be appropriate to submit.

This is not a formal planning objection or letter of support. Anyone who wishes to make their own representation should also do so directly through the RBWM planning portal.
